Like many of our life saving tactics, they were born only after serious assaults and/or in the line of duty deaths. The tactical concept of Contact & Cover was created from these serious incidents and has been saving officers lives for many years now. Developed by officers from the San Diego Police Department Contact & Cover is battle-tested field techniques that will maximum your tactical advantage in field encounters and helps you to win every suspect encounter on the unpredictable and always dangerous streets. This is a dynamic hands-on training course. During the classroom portion of this program we will cover the roles and responsibilities of the Contact and Cover officer, preventing assaults and escapes, proper pat-downs and searches, and have a serious discussion about the use of deadly force. During the hand-on practical exercises we will conduct normal car and pedestrian stops; proper (standing, kneeling, prone) cuffing techniques, high-risk stops and arrests; pat-downs and searches; preventing escapes, foot pursuits, assaults, and weapons retention.

This course is an in-depth look and understanding of cover and concealment and its importance as it relates to response to calls for service. Patrol Response to Barricade Situations

It is inevitable that you will be called upon to respond to an armed and barricade situation. These situations are resolved by one of three ways; talk them out, force them out, take (bring) them out. Patrol Response to Active Shooters

We continue to adjust our response and tactics as we learn from each tragic shooting that occurs in populated buildings like schools, businesses, churches, and shopping malls. We do know however, that these situations absolutely require an immediate and decisive response from law enforcement. Force Continuum

The statement of “I was in fear for my life” by itself will not magically justify your use of deadly force. Today’s law enforcement officer must be able to articulate a reasonable justification for their use of force in order for it to be justified. Slow and Deliberate Building Clearing

Building clearing is very dangerous in and of itself, however, if your team has been called out to perform this task it obviously has an even higher risk element to contend with. It is an absolute necessity for your team members and team as a whole to master the slow and deliberate building clearing techniques in order to safely conduct and resolve these situations. This course will teach you individual tactics and then incorporate these tactics and movements into team tactics and techniques. Dynamic Room Clearing High Risk Warrant Service

Speed Surprise and Shock action is the bread and butter of dynamic room clearing. Today’s law enforcement SWAT teams are used to serve many different warrants in differently configured structure. Basic S.W.A.T.

This course is designed to train the officer newly assigned to a SWAT team or the officer(s) looking to enhance and compliment their in-service team training. Advanced S.W.A.T. Training

This is a training scenario that is set up for teams so that they can just come to our training facility and immediately go into the exercise as though it was a real call out. The team leader will be given information on the situation and then the team will go into action collecting intelligence, scouting, completing a operation plan, rehearsing, conducting the raid/rescue or whatever the scenario calls for then debriefing. This field exercise is not to be stopped for training purposes; however, at the conclusion of it there will be a debriefing and critique from on site trainers/instructors.

Police Tactical Combat Speed and Accuracy Marksmanship

If you’re an officers that dreads, worries, or gets concerned on qualification day or would simply like to dramatically improve your combat speed and accuracy and your qualification scores then this is the course for you. Advance Tactical Shotgun

Advanced Tactical Carbine

This is a 1,000-round course of instruction that will give the patrol officer a thorough understanding of nomenclature, operations, disassembly and assembly skills, as well as marksmanship fundamentals and skills and the care, cleaning and use of the urban rifle.
